Having worked on many McDonald’s stores in the UK, we worked with Parker Roberts to refurbish the UK HQ staff facility at Finchley. The scheme incorporated an Aroma coffee counter and by engineering the space we were able to provide a venue for a variety of office and informal meetings throughout the day.
One of the features was a laser-cut ceramic floor layout, creating bold walkways and delineating seating areas. McDonalds wanted to reflect the strong colours being used in their high street stores and we delivered this element using durable but easily refreshed painted walls and bold, contrasting artworks.
Durable Corian cappings and end panels were used to protect vulnerable areas of the veneered timber curved dwarf wall screens.
The floor layout was echoed and accentuated by dropped ceiling features incorporating ambient and accent lighting to tables. It was a jigsaw puzzle of flowing shapes that came together very pleasingly on site.
